This is a story of love and ambition of two mountaineers. In the attempt to conquer K2, the second highest peak in the Himalayas, it tells the tale of the fight-for survival of a sports equipment company involving the aged company chairman who sponsors the expedition, his young attractive wife who seeks romance, an ambitious mountaineer who is in love with her, and his single-minded childhood friend. Following the fall of the ambitious man off an ice wall on K2, the single-minded climber is drawn into a lawsuit to find out whether a faulty carabiner caused the accident, leaving the young mountaineer struggling with the hardships of life. Gradually, the truth comes out.
