29th JAMCO Online International Symposium

February 2021 - March 2021

The Potential of Broadcasting and New Media for Supporting Education During the Coronavirus Pandemic

Closing Address

Kenji KONDO
Executive Managing Director, Japan Media Communication Center

The 2020, 29th JAMCO Online International Symposium was held on the theme of the Potential of Broadcasting and New Media for Supporting Education during the Coronavirus Pandemic with the participation through reports and discussions of researchers and other experts from Japan and around the world.

The reports and discussions this time have made us ever more keenly aware of the important roles and possibilities for the broadcasting, internet and other digital media for maintaining and enhancing the quality of education during this global crisis of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as raising further crucial issues for our consideration.

We also received many useful opinions from all who viewed the reports and debates in Japanese and English via the official JAMCO website, and this feedback, too, will be of immense assistance in future discussions.

We at JAMCO will continue to make the best possible use of all the valuable results and knowledge gleaned from these annual, online international symposiums for the full realization of our center’s founding missions.
