In the 21st century, it is no surprise that unexpected disasters can occur at anytime and
anywhere. Disaster survivors are those who can protect themselves in any situation. In this episode, the theme is the danger of lightning strikes. Despite the high fatality rate, many accidents occur because people underestimate the danger. Elementary school students from Kumamoto, southern Japan, research the mechanism of lightning strikes and learn through guidance where they are likely to occur and what survival methods are appropriate in an emergency.
