28th JAMCO Online International Symposium

February 2020 - March 2020

Educational Content in the Developing Countries : Its Role and New Possibilities

Closing Remarks

Kenji Kondo
Executive Managing Director , Japan Media Communication Center

The 28th, 2019 edition of the JAMCO Online International Symposium provided a forum for reports and discussions between scholars and other experts from Japan and abroad on the theme of Educational Content in the Developing Countries: Its Role and New Possibilities.

I believe the reports and discussions have indeed revealed new possibilities and also new issues relating to both broadcasting content for educational improvement in the developing world and the important roles visual media can perform.

Further, we received valuable feedback from people who read the reports and discussions in English or Japanese on the official website. I know those comments will also be helpful to the continuing debates.

This symposium’s goals of contributing to development in developing countries and promoting international understanding through the provision of broadcast programs to the developing world stand at the heart of this organization’s founding purpose.

We shall continue to further the center’s goals by building on the results of both the annual symposiums and the new wisdom we gain by these means.
